How War Paint is using TikTok to sell men’s makeup

Men’s makeup brand War Paint for Men has begun trialling TikTok and Shopify’s social commerce features to create engaging ad content that relates to its customers.

Speaking as part of TikTok’s #GetAhead event series with Shopify, War Paint Founder Danny Gray says it is “early days” of the social commerce pilot, but “at the moment it is working absolutely perfectly and doing the job it was designed to do”.

The TikTok and Shopify tie-up works by allowing merchants on Shopify to run TikTok marketing campaigns directly from the Shopify dashboard, which enables the creation of native, shareable ad content on the social media platform.
